Application
Anti-Goat IgG (whole molecule) Agarose antibody produced in rabbit has been used in protein purification, immunoprecipitation/chromatin immunoprecipitation assay.
c-RET was immunoprecipitated from overexpressing MDCK cells using agarose-linked rabbit anti-goat IgG. Homogenates were incubated with conjugated beads for 2 hours on ice.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Immunoglobulin G (IgG) participates in hypersensitivity type II and type III.

General description
An immunoglobulin has two heavy chains and two light chains connected by disulfide bond. It mainly helps in immune defense. . IgG, a glycoprotein, is the major class of immunoglobulin. Goat IgG has two subclasses- IgG1 and IgG2.
IgGs are glycoprotein antibodies that modulate several immune responses. Goat IgGs against target proteins are often used as primary antibodies in various research applications. Thus, secondary anti-goat IgGs are useful tools for the analysis of target proteins.
Immunogen
pooled normal goat serum
Physical form
Suspension in phosphate buffered saline containing 15 mM sodium azide
